“The wife of the IKEA founder, wrote us a letter on 3 May 1952. She asked us if we would be interested and able to supply good quality products at low prices, with good availability and in large volumes. If we would bring good quality products, then IKEA would bring the market. Our founder responded positively to the letter.
He packed his small pick-up and went to Älmhult, the small town in southern Sweden to show IKEA some of our products. We got the deal and were very happy for the ‘big order’ of 20 chests of drawers”.
